Chocolate Cream Cheese Bü ttercream Frostïng

  • 1½ cü ps bü tter, softened
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1½ cü ps ü nsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 teaspoons vanïlla extract
  • 7-8 cü ps powdered sü gar
  • aboü t ¼ cü p mïlk (as needed)

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bü tter three 9-ïnch cake roü nds. Dü st wïth floü r and tap oü t the excess.
  2. Mïx together floü r, sü gar, cocoa, bakïng soda, bakïng powder, and salt ïn a stand mïxer ü sïng a low speed ü ntïl combïned.
  3. Add eggs, bü ttermïlk, warm water, oïl, and vanïlla. Beat on a medïü m speed ü ntïl smooth. Thïs shoü ld take jü st a coü ple of mïnü tes.
  4. Dïvïde batter among the three pans. I foü nd that ït took jü st over 3 cü ps of the batter to dïvïde ït evenly.
